With round 1 done and dusted the Grassroots Sports Club AFL lunch was perfectly timed. Footy is back and we want to celebrate.

When it comes to racing the names don’t get bigger than Damien Oliver and Jamie Kah. The best male and female Jockeys Australian has ever produced were our guests and they didn’t disappoint.

This was a lunch for the ages. The GSC “Thanks a Million Lunch” was a celebration of the incredible achievement that the GSC and its supporters had raised in excess of $1 million dollars to assist disadvantaged kids access sport and recreation.

After many failed attempts and postponements, we finally got together for a much need Grassroots Sports Club Lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Everyone’s favourite MC Jason Richardson welcomed over 200 guests to the Plaza Ballroom and got the crowd pumped up for an afternoon of sport and fundraising.

With the COVID pandemic raging along and our GSC members in and out of lockdown we were unable to run any face-to-face Grassroots Sports Club events from October 2019 through to April 2021.  The need to support charities and vulnerable children was greater than ever and the GSC community rose to the occasion with multiple fundraising initiatives during this time
